Network Engineer
Primary responsibilities:
- Build, implement and test Optimum's customer network solutions (with Optimum's suppliers), according to the customer network service contracts;
- Define and improve Optimum's network operations processes;
- Provide technical support Optimum's marketing and sales teams.
Minimum requirements:
- Engineering degree in telecom/IT fields;
- At least 3 years of experience in delivering complex network/systems solutions to large customers (preferably both enterprise and service provider) at a telecom carrier or other service provider, ideally at a wholesale network service provider;
- Capability to interact with customer and supplier organizations in telecom supply chain industries at both managerial as well technical levels;
- Extensive knowledge of telecommunications and Internet infrastructure technologies and of data/telecom protocols, especially of WDM, SDH/SONET, Ethernet and IP/MPLS;
- Knowledge of network test equipment and TCL;
- Experience at least in one (preferably in more than one) of the below areas:
- Successfully designing and selling wholesale network solutions to telcos, ISPs, ASPs etc.;
- Evaluating and deploying new technologies and services at carrier networks;
- Successfully designing and implementing test plans and procedures;
- Building communications service provider companies.
